我迷惘了

曾经以为最完美的爱情人生是和一个人在一起，走过中学，大学，研究生院，走到婚姻，走完人生。
曾经以为最完美的职业生涯是为了一个兴趣，在大学里学之，在研究生院想之，在公司实现之，一生以系之。
为什么其实这不是生活？

    You seem to be romantic, probably hopelessly so.

    What you described is romantic, perfect, and complete. Yet, have you ever realized the opposite of what you described can be more romantic, perfect, and complete, even though less convenient.

    It is more romantic, if two strangers decide to sacrifice part of themselves to be together, despite of unfavoring circumstances and limited shared experiences. Such faith and generosity to create a joined destiny are the most touching.

    Similarly, for your career, you have 40 years before you. You will prove what you are made of, only when swimming against the currents.

    Obviously, you are doing well now. Good luck with all your future endeavors.
